Must Have Snapshots on Your Wedding Day
Typically a photographer who is well versed will know what shots to get. You should still make sure you have a checklist so that you/they don’t miss anything! Here is a list of some important ones to capture:
1.) Getting ready
These photos are casual and sometimes candid. Typically the bridal party will be in some sort of matching pajamas or robes. Sometimes they will all be sitting and laughing on the bed, or maybe drinking some champagne. Either way, these photos should exude friendship and the closeness of the people in them.
2.) Personality pic
Show off you and your significant others personality’s. Everyone should feel the love and dynamic of the relationship through these photos. You could be jumping in the air, or maybe giving each other piggy back rides. Be fun, spontaneous, and of course show the love!
3.) Bouquet
Make sure to get a photo of your beautiful bouquet. It can also be used in conjunction with ring and dress shots!
4.) Generational photo
If your parents and grandparents are able to be present for your special day, you will want to take a generational photo. All three generations will be in one photo, which is a great memory you will cherish!
5.) Individual Bridal Party Shots
Make sure to take photos with your beautiful bridal party. Everyone is matching and can have fun with it. Whether it is a group shot of the guys and girls, or each group separate.
6.) Cake
Before everyone devours it, make sure to get a photo of your gorgeous cake intact! Bride and groom can be standing with it as well. Once you both are shoving cake in each other’s faces, make sure to get that too.
7.) Rings
The ring details are always a popular photo op. You can take some while wearing it, as well as with them off and placed next to your significant others. Some people incorporate ribbons or other props to make it a little more exciting.
8.) Favors or Welcome Bags
If you got creative on your welcome gifts or favors, then you will definitely want a photo to remember them by! A nice picture of them with the table setting would be great. You will want a picture of that as well.
9.) Decor and Signage
Make sure to get some photos of all your beautiful décor and signage. You will definitely want to remember how gorgeous the room looked.
10.) Hair and Makeup Shots
Eventually your makeup will start to wear off, and hair will start to fall down. Get some nice pictures as soon as you are done, maybe in your robe and then after your dress is on. Close ups are good on the little details, such as jewelry and veils.
