Sweet 16 Theme Ideas
There are many great themes that you can use for your child’s Sweet 16 party. Here are just a few to help get you started thinking of ideas!
Paris Theme
If you want a truly authentic Paris theme, it’s all about the details. Food should mimic that of which they consume in France. A crêpe station where you can choose your filling would be awesome! Accessorize your guests look with some French berets and maybe even fake mustaches for your photo booth. Music, as well as lighting, should create an ambiance that reinforces the theme. At The Venue Fort Lauderdale we have something called 3D Mapping. You can project anything you want on the walls of your ballroom. This could be a beautiful Paris street or even the Eiffel Tower. Cutouts of major French monuments would be nice as well.
Great Gatsby Theme
This theme should reflect classic 1920s attire and décor. The birthday girl should wear something shiny and flapper like, with a head piece (complete with a feather). Think gold accents, feather centerpieces, and balloons. The balloons should be a mix of gold, silver, and black. Incorporate the decade’s iconic font and art deco framing on things like table place cards and invitations. We already have your Crystal chandelier props in both of our ballrooms! Aerialists could be pouring champagne (or a non-alcoholic beverage similar). A champagne tower could also be a great addition. Casino games could be rented, so you can have a roulette table, etc. This party should be very lively with lots going on around you!
Victoria's Secret Theme
Many young women long to become a professional model. You can incorporate aspects of Victoria Secret to make her dream come to life. Lighting can be pink, and we can even project a runway show with 3D mapping. Use the Victoria Secret font for her monogram and place cards. Authentic gift bags from the store would be great for your guest’s party favors. Let the birthday girl strut her stuff down our catwalk staircase for her grand entrance!
Winter Wonderland
This has been a very popular theme among many different types of events. White and blue hues are seen throughout. Table cloths and napkins can incorporate this color palette. Centerpieces can be tiny snow-covered trees. Giant fake snowflakes can hang from the ceiling. Think lots of twinkling lights. Transport yourself to a snowy landscape with 3D Mapping.
Circus Theme
This should be very over the top! Performers should be a major focal point for this theme. You can use contortionists, jugglers, aerialists, etc. We can also project something fun for your 3D Mapping wall. Food stations could definitely play a major role in the success of this theme as well. Think cotton candy, corndogs, and popcorn. Red and white stripes would be a good idea for the tablecloths and napkins.
